Step by Step (Under Development)
Overview
A Chart of Accounts (COA) in the pharmaceutical industry is a structured list of all financial accounts used to record, track, and report financial transactions.
In SiCompounding, the Chart of Accounts supports financial visibility across areas such as:
- Research and Development
- Regulatory Compliance
- Product Licensing
- Operational and Pharmacy Costs
Any area within SiCompounding that requires a financial account will reference values from the Account value list maintained in the Chart of Accounts.
⚠️ Note: This feature is currently under development. Some functionality may be limited or subject to change.
Step 1 — Open SiCompounding
- Click the FileMaker Pro icon to open FileMaker.
- When FileMaker opens, locate the left-side menubar and click SiCompounding (near the top).
- Select Pharmacy to open the Dashboard.
Step 2 — Navigate to Chart of Accounts
- From the blue sidebar menu, select Settings (located at the bottom).
- Under Finances, select Chart of Accounts.
- The Chart of Accounts window opens, displaying a list of existing Pharmacy Accounts.
Step 3 — Create a New Account (Under Development)
- In the Chart of Accounts window, click + New Account.
- A new account record opens.
- Enter the required account information.
- Click Submit to save your changes.
🚧 This functionality is currently under development and may not yet support all account attributes.
Step 4 — Reset Accounts to Default Values
- In the Chart of Accounts window, click Reset to Defaults.
- An alert dialog appears with two options:
- OK — Resets all account values to system defaults.
- Cancel — Closes the dialog without making changes.
Use this option with caution, as it will overwrite existing configurations.
Step 5 — Search the Chart of Accounts
- Use the Search bar in the upper-right corner of the window.
- Search by:
- Name
- Description
- Press Enter / Return on your keyboard to view results.
Important Notes
The Pharmacy Settings section contains essential templates and default configurations and should be completed before using other areas within SiCompounding.

- COM Templates
- Notifications
- Integrations
- Automation Logs
