Create and manage courier services used for prescription delivery within SiCompounding.

Settings — Couriers

Step by Step

Overview

A pharmacy courier service specializes in the safe and timely delivery of medications from pharmacies to patients. Courier services may support same-day or on-demand delivery and can be used by pharmacies, hospitals, or individuals requiring prescription delivery.

Within SiCompounding, the Couriers settings allow you to create, manage, and track courier services used for medication distribution.

Step 1 — Open SiCompounding

  1. Click the FileMaker Pro icon to open FileMaker.
  2. When FileMaker opens, locate the left-side menubar and click SiCompounding (near the top).
  3. Click Pharmacy to open the Dashboard.

Step 2 — Navigate to Courier Settings

  1. From the blue sidebar menu, select Settings (located at the bottom).
  2. Under Finances, select Couriers.
  3. The Couriers window opens, displaying a list view of existing couriers.

Step 3 — Add a New Courier

  1. Click the + Courier button.
  2. The Courier Information window opens.

Required Courier Information

Enter the following details:

  • Code
  • Name
  • Contact
  • Email
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Status — Active or Inactive
  1. Click Save after all information has been entered and changes are complete.

Step 4 — Search and Manage Couriers

Search for a Courier

  • Use the Search bar in the upper-right corner.
  • Search by Code or Name.
  • Press the Enter / Return key to view results.

Update Courier Status

  • In the Status column, toggle couriers between Active and Inactive as needed.

Step 5 — Courier Actions (Gear Menu)

In the Couriers window, click the Gear (settings icon) at the end of a courier row to access additional actions:

  • Edit
    Opens the Courier Information window to make changes.
    Click Save after updates are complete.

  • Delete
    Opens a deletion confirmation dialog.

    Use DELETE to confirm deletion of the related record. Otherwise, select CANCEL.

  • Change Logs
    Opens the Record Modification Log, displaying a history of changes made to courier records.
    Click the X in the upper-right corner to close the window.

Important Notes

The Pharmacy Settings section contains required templates and default configurations and should be completed before using other areas of SiCompounding.
