Shipping Integration Setup?

Step-by-step guide for configuring shipping integrations in SiCompounding to support pharmaceutical logistics, compliance, and delivery workflows.

Overview

Shipping Integrations connect SiCompounding with third-party logistics providers using APIs to automate shipping workflows, maintain regulatory compliance, manage inventory, and support temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical deliveries. These integrations provide real-time tracking, accurate ETAs, and cost optimization for shipping medical supplies, prescriptions, and laboratory materials.

Important: Shipping Integrations are part of Pharmacy Settings and should be configured before using shipping-related workflows in SiCompounding.


Accessing Shipping Integrations

  1. Click the FileMaker Pro icon to open FileMaker.
  2. From the left menu, select SiCompounding.
  3. Click Pharmacy from the center icons to open the Dashboard.
  4. In the blue sidebar, scroll down and select Settings.
  5. After the Communications section, select Integrations (Shipping).
  6. Open the Shipping tab to view available integrations.

Shippo Integration

About Shippo
Shippo is a shipping platform that helps businesses manage carriers, rates, and labels. While commonly used in e-commerce, Shippo can support pharmaceutical shipping with appropriate configuration. Click the Setup button.

Shippo Setup Overview

Shippo setup is a 7-step process table. Each step must be completed before moving to the next.


1. API Tokens

Before starting, complete the following checklist in Shippo:

  • Create or log in to your Shippo account - Go to https://apps.goshippo.com/join?
  • Configure Account settings
  • Configure Billing
  • Add Carriers
  • Copy API tokens from the API tab

Configuration Fields

  • Shippo Test Token
  • Shippo Live Token
  • Use Live (checkbox)
  • Test Connection button

Click Set after testing and validating all entries.


2. Sender / Return Address

Enter all required fields for both addresses.

Sender Address

  • Name, Company Name
  • Address Line 1 & 2
  • City, State, Zip, Country
  • Email, Phone, Fax

Return Address

  • Same fields as Sender

Click Set to continue.


3. Client Carriers

Shippo supports two carrier types:

  • Shippo Carrier Accounts
    • Shippo-managed accounts with negotiated rates
  • Your Own Carrier Accounts
    • Carrier accounts you manage independently

Click Get Carrier Accounts to import configured carriers, then click Set.


4. Services

Each carrier service can be customized.

Service Settings

  • Service Name (imported)
  • Carrier (imported)
  • Dry Ice (Yes/No)
  • Flat Fee
  • Fee Minimum
  • Estimated Delivery Days
  • Active (Yes/No)

Click Set when complete.


5. Parcel Templates

  • Review available parcel types
  • Assign fees or deactivate parcels as needed

Click Set after updates.


6. Extras

Optional shipping rules and pricing:

  • Signature Fee
  • Saturday Delivery Fee
  • Dry Ice Fee
  • Priority Alert Fee
  • Free Shipping thresholds
  • Shipping Margin (%)
  • Shipping Label Cost
  • Optional Label Text
  • Reference 1 & 2
  • Request Retail Rates (Yes/No)

Click Set to save.


7. Label Format

  • Select Default Label Format from dropdown
  • Click Set

Ameriship Integration

About Ameriship
Ameriship specializes in secure, medical-grade deliveries for prescriptions, lab samples, and healthcare supplies.

Ameriship Setup Process


1. API Tokens

  • Contact Ameriship to obtain an App Key
  • Enter the App Key
  • Click Test Connection
  • Click Set

2. Sender / Return Address

Same required fields as Shippo.

Click Set when finished.


3. Services

  • Click Get Services to import
  • Configure:
    • Dry Ice (Yes/No)
    • Flat Fee
    • Fee Minimum
    • Delivery Days
    • Active (Yes/No)

Click Set.


4. Service Areas

  • Click Get Service Areas
  • Review zip codes
  • Toggle Active status
  • Click Set

5. Parcel Templates

  • Assign fees or activate/deactivate parcels
  • Click Set

6. Extras

Same optional settings as Shippo (fees, margins, label text, references).

Click Set.


7. Label Format

  • Select default format
  • Click Set

TABZ Shipping Groups (HealNow)

About TABZ / HealNow Shipping Groups

  • Supports courier and last-mile delivery
  • Enables patient group–based shipping rules
  • Uses HealNow API patient group mappings

Setup Steps

  1. Click Setup
  2. TABZ Shipping Groups Map window opens
  3. Click + New to:
    • Add carriers or services
    • Adjust status
    • Delete entries
  4. Click X to close when finished

UPS Integration

About UPS
UPS provides enterprise-grade pharmaceutical logistics, including cold-chain management, fulfillment, and reverse logistics.

  • Click Setup to begin configuration

USPS Integration

About USPS
USPS supports prescription and medical supply delivery nationwide.

USPS Setup

Addresses API Fields (All Required)

  • Name
  • Auth Method
  • Endpoint
  • Auth Username / Password
  • OAuth Grant Type
  • OAuth Client ID / Secret
  • OAuth Access Token URL
  • Status (Active | Inactive)
  • Token Information

Click Set after completion.

  • Enter DDM Client ID and Client Key
  • Click Test Connection
