Maintaining Suppository Molds?
Step-by-step guide for managing Suppository Molds in SiCompounding.
Overview
Suppository Molds define the various mold sizes and specifications used when adding new items into inventory. Maintaining accurate mold data ensures proper product identification, inventory management, and consistent compounding operations.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open FileMaker Pro
- Click the FileMaker Pro icon on your computer to launch FileMaker.
2. Access SiCompounding
- When FileMaker opens, locate the large menu bar on the left side of the window.
- Click SiCompounding (near the top of the menu).
3. Open the Pharmacy Dashboard
- In the next window, several icons will appear across the middle of the screen.
- Click Pharmacy to open the Pharmacy Dashboard.
4. Open Settings
- From the blue sidebar menu on the left side:
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Select Settings.
5. Navigate to Codes and Classifications
- Under General Settings, select Codes and Classifications.
- This section allows you to input and manage standard codes for prescription orders.
6. Select Suppository Molds
- From the popup list, select Suppository Molds.
- The Suppository Molds window opens, displaying a list of mold sizes and related information.
Suppository Molds Window Fields
The Suppository Molds window displays the following columns:

| Size | Unique identifier for the mold size |
| Volume | The volume capacity of the mold |
| Capacity | The total capacity measurement of the mold |
| Weight | Weight measurement associated with the mold |
| Notes | Additional important information about the mold |
| Status | Set to Active or Inactive |
Adding a New Suppository Mold
- Click the + Mold button to create a new mold entry.
- The Mold Sizes window opens.
- Enter the required information:
- Size identifier
- Volume
- Capacity
- Weight
- Notes (optional)
- Click Save to complete the addition.
Editing an Existing Suppository Mold
- In the Suppository Molds window, locate the mold you wish to modify.
- Click the settings gear icon at the end of the row.
- Select Edit from the menu options.
- The Mold Sizes window opens for that specific mold.
- Make your modifications and click Save.
Searching Suppository Molds
- Use the Search bar located in the upper right corner of the window.
- Search by Mold Size.
- Press Enter/Return to display your search results.
Managing Mold Status
In the Suppository Molds window, you can modify the status of each mold:
- Active – The mold is available for selection when adding inventory items.
- Inactive – The mold is hidden from inventory selection options.
Toggle the Status field for each mold as needed to control availability.
Viewing Change Logs
- In the Suppository Molds window, locate the mold you wish to review.
- Click the settings gear icon at the end of the row.
- Select Change Logs from the menu options.
- The Record Modification Log window opens, displaying:
- All changes made to the suppository mold
- Date and time of modifications
- User who made the changes
- Click the X button in the upper right corner to close the window.
About Pharmacy Settings
Important: The Pharmacy Settings module contains all templates and default configurations and must be completed before using other areas of SiCompounding.
Within Pharmacy Settings, you have the ability to manage:
- Product Settings – Configure pharmacy products
- Facility Areas – Define physical pharmacy spaces
- Equipment – Manage pharmacy equipment
- Workflows – Set up operational workflows
- Costs and Fees – Configure pricing structures

- Notifications – Set up system notifications
- Integrations – Configure third-party integrations
- Automations – Access and review automation logs
Best Practices
- Ensure all Suppository Molds are properly configured and status-managed before staff begins using them in inventory.
- Use consistent and descriptive size identifiers for easy reference.
- Include detailed notes about mold specifications, materials, and any special handling requirements.
- Regularly review change logs to track modifications and maintain audit compliance.
- Mark deprecated molds as Inactive rather than deleting them to preserve historical records.
