Overview

The Inventory Reports feature in SiCompounding provides flexible options for viewing, exporting, and printing inventory data. Reports can be generated from filtered queues, search results, and expired inventory views, allowing users to produce PDF, CSV, or printed reports as needed.

This guide explains all reporting options available within the Inventory module.


Access Inventory Reports

1. Open SiCompounding

  1. Click the FileMaker Pro icon to open FileMaker.
  2. From the left-side menu bar, click SiCompounding.

2. Open the Pharmacy Dashboard

  1. Click Pharmacy from the icons across the middle of the screen.
  2. The Pharmacy Dashboard opens.

3. Open Inventory

  1. From the blue sidebar menu on the left, click Inventory.
  2. The Inventory window opens.

4. Open Reports

  1. At the top of the Inventory window, click Reports.

Inventory Report Types

All Inventory Reports

Selecting Reports opens the On-Demand Reports screen.


Additional Reporting Options

Inventory reporting can also be generated through:

  • Expired Reports
  • Filtered Queues
  • Search Results

Understanding these methods provides flexibility when producing targeted reports.


Expired Reports

The Expired Reports option becomes available when specific filtered queues are selected.

Access Expired Reports

  1. Click the Expiring Soon or Expired In Stock filtered queue.
  2. The Reports button appears below the selected queue.
  3. A list of inventory items meeting the criteria is displayed.

Available Expired Reports

Click Reports to view the following options:

  • Expiring Drugs
  • Expired In Stock
  • Removed Outdated Drugs

Generate an Expired Report

  1. Select one of the report options.
  2. A Print document opens displaying the selected report.
  3. The system Print dialog opens automatically.
  4. Adjust print settings as needed and click Print.
  5. To close the report, click File > Close.

Repeat these steps for each expired report type.


Filtered Queue Reports

Filtered queues display a found set of records based on the selected filter.

Example

  1. Under Items and Inventory, click a filter such as New Products.
  2. The found set now includes only inventory items matching that filter.
  3. Click View All (located just left of the search bar) to display the results in list view.

Report & Print Icons

On the right side of the menu bar, three report icons are available:

  • PDF Report
  • CSV Report
  • Printed Report

PDF Report

  1. Click the PDF Report icon.
  2. A dialog appears:

    “Exporting data from the found set of ### Inventory records to a PDF file on your desktop?”

  3. Click OK.
  4. The PDF opens and is saved to your desktop.

CSV Report

Generate a CSV Report

  1. Click the CSV Report icon.
  2. A dialog appears:

    “Export data from the found set of ### Inventory records to a CSV Spreadsheet on your desktop?”

  3. Click OK.

Select Columns

A new window opens: Select the Columns You Want to Include.

Column Options

  • Clear
  • Select All
  • Set as Custom
  • Use Custom

Recommended Setup

  1. Click Clear.
  2. Select commonly used inventory columns.
  3. Click Set as Custom.

This allows future reports to use the same column configuration by clicking Use Custom.


Export Options

At the bottom of the window:

  • Stop and Close – cancels export
  • Export and No Wait – may take longer
  • Export and Wait – recommended for large reports

Select an option to proceed.


Download and Save

  1. A dialog appears: Generating Report.
  2. When complete, a message displays:

    “Your Report is Ready!”

  3. Click the report name.
  4. The Export Field to File dialog opens.
  5. Adjust file name or location if needed.
  6. Optional:
    • Automatically open the file
    • Create email with file as attachment
  7. Click Save.
  8. Close the dialog when finished.

Printed Report

  1. Click the Printer icon.
  2. A dialog appears:

    “Export data from the found set of ### Inventory records to a printer of your choice?”

  3. Click OK.
  4. The Print dialog opens.
  5. Select printer, presets, copies, pages, or format.
  6. Click Print.

Reports Using Search Results

  1. Click the Search button at the top of the Inventory screen.
  2. The Inventory Items List View opens.
  3. Use the search bar to find records by:
    • Name
    • Type
    • Category
  4. Press Enter / Return to view results.

Additional Filters

  • Filter by Active | Inactive | All
  • Use the Category dropdown to further refine results

Once filtered, use the PDF, CSV, or Printed Report icons following the same steps outlined above.
