Navigating the Compounding Module?

Step-by-step instructions for accessing and managing the Compounding module in SiCompounding.

Overview

This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough of the Compounding module in SiCompounding, covering navigation, lab management processes, filters, and inventory details.


Step 1: Open FileMaker Pro and Navigate to SiCompounding

  1. Click the FileMaker Pro icon to launch the application.
  2. On the left menu bar, select SiCompounding.

Step 2: Open the Pharmacy Dashboard

  1. In the main window, click the Pharmacy icon located in the middle of the screen.
  2. This opens the Pharmacy Dashboard.

Step 3: Access the Compounding Module

  1. In the blue sidebar menu on the left, click Compounding.
  2. The Compounding module will open, displaying the main menu and lab management options.

Lab Management Process

The Compounding module follows a structured lab management workflow:

  1. New – Number of new compoundings to be processed.
  2. In Progress – Compoundings currently in process before verification.
  3. To Verify – Queue of compoundings ready for verification.
  4. In Quarantine – Compoundings placed in quarantine for various reasons.
  5. Pharmacy Testing – Compounds requiring testing before release.
  6. To Release – Queue of compounds ready for release.
  7. Released (Today’s Queue) – Compounds released today.
  8. Canceled (Today’s Queue) – Compounds canceled today.
  9. Failed (Today’s Queue) – Compounds failed today.

Note: The Today’s Queue sections are dynamic and update in real-time as compounds are processed throughout the day or changed using the Calendar icon.


Filters

Use filters to locate specific compoundings:

  • Compounding Type:
    • All
    • Non-sterile
    • Sterile
  • Hazardous:
    • All
    • Hazardous
    • Non-Hazardous
  • Rx Type:
    • All
    • Regular Rx
    • Study Rx
  • Date:
    • All
    • Select a date using the calendar icon.
  • Show Mine:
    • Check the box to view only your compoundings.
    • Use the dropdown to select All or another user’s compoundings.
  • Lab Space:
    • Check the box to view only your compoundings.
    • Use the dropdown to select All or another user’s compoundings.

Use the Clear All button to reset all filters.


Inventory

  • Low Stock – Click to view compounded drugs that have fallen below the minimum stock settings.
  • Balance Calibration – For details, consult your system administrator.
